Mmesoma JAMB Board The girl who is accused of increasing her marks in JAMB examination has admitted that she changed the result of the exam. 19-year-old Ejikeme Mmesoma,
who is a former student of Anglican Girls' Secondary School in Anambra State, has revealed how she added marks to her exam results. In recent days,
the issue has caused controversy, since the board that organizes the exam has denied the score that the student claimed to have obtained in the exam.
The JAMB board said that the student got 249 marks, contrary to the 362 marks she claims to have got, but at that time the student insisted that the result she claims is true.
Anambra state governor Charles Soludo has set up a committee to investigate the incident. The committee invited the student, the principal and JAMB officials to hear the arguments of each side. JAMB said that the result that the student claims to have obtained which contains 362 points is a false result, not true.
The JAMB has also revealed how Ejikeme Mmesoma has been trying to find her exam results on the board's website for several hours, and all these times she gets the same result from the board which shows that she got 249 points.
However, Ejikeme Mmesoma told the committee that she accepted the information given to the committee by the JAMB officials. She is saying that she has increased her exam results by herself.
She said that she used her phone to change the results of the exam, before releasing the exam result.
The committee tried to find out the reason why the student committed this crime, but she said that she did not have any strong reason.
Finally, the committee requested the student to immediately apologize for this crime she committed, by writing a letter of apology to the JAMB board and the board of the school she graduated from, and then to the Anambar state government.
Then the committee asked the student to go for a mental health check, and called on all the students who are writing the exam to stay where the rules of the board limit them.
